Today on 26th April 2019, a complaint was lodged in Police Station Anti-Corruption Bureau Kashmir (NK), Srinagar by a contractor alleging therein that he has executed the works of R&B Division Bandipora and after completing all the requisite formalities the bill has been prepared for an amount of Rs. 5,18,089/, but the Concerned Executive Engineer is refusing to release the bill payment without paying the bribe money to the tune of Rs.20,000/-.
On his complaint, a Case FIR No.08/2019 under section 5(2) J&K P.C Act Svt; 2006, 4-A Amendment Act- 2014 has been registered and investigation taken up.
During the course of investigation, a trap team was constituted who laid a successful trap and arrested Executive Enginner R&B Division Bandipora namely, Ab. Aziz Bhat, Executive Engineer R&B Div Bandipora, while demanding and accepting the bribe money from the complainant. Further investigation into the case is going on.

Anti-Corruption Bureau Doda has produced Challan in case FIR No.13/2012 P/S VOJ (now ACB) U/S 5(1) (d) r/w 5 (2) J&K P.C Act Svt 2006 and 467, 468, 471 and 120-B RPC in Anti-Corruption Court Doda today on 26.04.2019 against accused persons namely Ghulam Nabi Balwan, the then Assistant Commissioner Development, (ACD) Kishtwar, Mohd Yasin Mir, the then Block Development Officer (BDO) Drabshalla Kishtwar, Chet Singh, the then Jr. Assistant BDO office Drabshalla and Khalid Hussain S/O Mohd. Amin R/O Nali Bonjwah (contractor). Initially, the ACB has conducted the verification into the allegation of misappropriation of NREGA funds against non-executed works at Kishtwar and it was found that the accused public servants by abusing their officials positions had withdrawn an amount of Rs. 10 lacs and had paid the said amount to accused Khalid Hussain (contractor) for four non-executed works namely Protection Work at Panchayat Nali, Bridal Path Mopa to Maloon Gali via Danhi, Protection Work at Zargar/Mirpora and construction of Land Leveling at Dhani Patin thereby causing loss to the state exchequer. Accordingly, a formal case was registered against them in P/S VOJ (now ACB) after allegations were proved against the accused persons in the verification. During the investigation, it was found that the accused public servants in criminal conspiracy with the accused contractor Shri Khalid Hussain had fabricated the official record by preparing fake muster sheets and had released the amount of 10 lacs in favour of the accused contractor against the above mentioned non-executed works, and thus causing loss of Rs.10 lacs to the state exchequer. Next date of hearing in the case has been fixed for 14.05.2019.
